I took 2 Excel classes with New Horizon and they didn't cover as much detail about VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables as this 3 hour workshop. The class is very carefully crafted to demonstrate how you can apply these tools together for data analysis and then there is a test by the end of the class where you will be given different exercises. This last part with exercises is where it all comes together. The teacher is fantastic, very thorough!
If you need something custom this is the place to go. We had custom advanced Excel & VBA training and they went above and beyond to make sure the course was best suited for us. They even made custom training files just for our business to make sure it all looked familiar when we get back to working on our company files.
Intense advanced course, gives a lot to learn. A few of the additional benefits include:- Small class size, individual attention.- They don't advertise this, but they let you attend the class for free again.
The instructor did a good job explaining the functions. I had a couple of "Aha" moments with functions I thought I understood. The best part was doing exercises with a large shoe sales data file.
Excellent coverage of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. The challenge is to remember it all!
Good for custom on-site training. They offered to use our own spreadsheets for a better experience and we are glad we did.
This is very good if you already have some base and you will learn a lot. Pros: you can ask all the questions you want. Cons: parking is very expensive in the area and they don't validate parking.
I had some experience with PivotTables, but it always fell short. I used to basically just drag things around until I got something. I liked how they explained the inner workings of functions, which makes it really clear to use them. We went over a lot of examples how to use PivotTables & VLOOKUP.
I hired them to help us analyze data for a medical research study with over 500,000 records. He did a great job for us!
VBA class was phenomenal, opens a whole new world of possibilities. I work with Excel a lot & my company paid for me to take the class. What I liked most is that he took time after the class to help with my work related problems, which is where I was able to put it all together.
